Human Security Honorees Revealed For Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2024

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has revealed the honorees for its CES 2024 Innovation Awards, featuring 36 products acknowledged as the year’s ‘Best of Innovation.’ Among the honorees are 16 products selected for the new ‘Human Security’ category.
This annual competition celebrates exceptional design and engineering in consumer technology products across 29 distinct categories. Notably, the CES Innovation Awards program experienced a significant surge in submissions for CES 2024, reaching over 3,000 entries, marking a remarkable 40% increase compared to CES 2023.
Notably, the Best of Innovation list for CES 2024 now includes a product from the ‘Human Security’ category, which was introduced at CES 2023, marking a notable inclusion in this year’s selection.

More than 150 tech brands applied for the Human Security category, an increase of 300% over 2023 entries, indicating a growing awareness among tech brands of the need to align their brand with social good.
An impartial panel of industry experts, that includes Human Security For All (HS4A) team members, members of the media, designers, and engineers, annually assesses and evaluates submissions based on criteria such as innovation, functionality, aesthetics, and design. Products receiving the highest ratings across all categories are bestowed with the prestigious Best of Innovation designation.
In the CES 2024 program, ‘digital health’ and ‘sustainability, eco-design & smart energy’ emerged as the top two categories with the highest number of submissions. This observation underscores the swift pace of innovation in sectors committed to addressing significant global challenges and enhancing human lives — an overarching theme at the event as CTA collaborates with the UN Trust Fund for Human Security and World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) to advance human security.
